It was the fastest service on the Bangalore – Delhi sector before Yeshvantapur Delhi Sarai Rohilla AC Duronto Express. == Service == The Rajdhani Express is the 2nd fastest train on the Bengaluru- Delhi sector after Duronto. It is a daily service. It operates as train number 22691 from Bangalore City Junction to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station and as train number 22692 in the reverse direction - four days a week. On the other days, it operates as 22693 / 22694. It covers a distance of 2365 kilometres in Bangalore City Junction to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station direction and it takes 36 hours 30 mins when operating as train number 22691 at an average speed of 72 km/h while its return journey as train number 22692 takes 36 hrs 50 mins to cover 2382 kilometers at an average speed of 72 km/h thus making it the second fastest train on the Bangalore - Delhi sector. It uses a Lallaguda WAP 7 electric engine till Secunderabad and from Secunderabad it uses WDP4/WDP4B of Krishnarajapuram Diesel Loco Shed till Bangalore. It has a top speed of 130kmph with its Lalaguda WAP7 between Delhi and Agra. Train service 22691/22692 has 11 halts in either direction at Sri Satya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam, Dharmavaram Junction, Anantapur, Raichur, Sedam, Secunderabad Junction, Kazipet Junction, Nagpur Junction, Bhopal Junction and Jhansi Junction. Train service 22693/22694 has 7 halts in either direction at Sri Satya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam, Dharmavaram Junction, Secunderabad Junction, Kazipet Junction Nagpur Junction, Bhopal Junction and Jhansi Junction. Train service 22693/22694 operates on a different route between Bangalore and Secunderabad.
